Dinner and Dance with the Hope Brisbane gang!

The dance lesson with Lucy was super cool. Not only did we caught some cool moves from her, we also caught her the spirit in her that really desires to serve God through dance. This was also the very first contemporary class I've ever attended in my life and I loved it so much!

After the dance class, we went to Simpang to have dinner...

It was such a blessing to be able to interact with the Hope Brisbane people. This experience really blew me away because to be able to hear testimonies from the sister and brothers-in-Christ from abroad really convicted me that God is indeed moving across the world.

Keep growing Laurrane! I'm sure God will use you GREATLY in the future!:)

Anyway, talking to the Hope Brisbane brothers and sisters really made me feel like visiting the Hope Churches around the world to experience how people with different backgrounds and cultures serve the same God fervently together!

Heroes

HEROES camp had been an awesome experience for me and I received a lot from God. During the camp, the teachings were about ordinary people with personal weaknesses being used powerfully by God. God really reminded me that it's never about me, how weak I am or how sinful I am, it's actually about God - how powerful He is.

God also gave me big dreams to fulfill. By His grace and power, I know I can do it, with Him guiding me along the way.

"The LORD will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the LORD your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom."
-Deuteronomy 28:13

I'm really thankful and I feel really blessed to be able to commit my youth to such an awesome God, being able to do His work using the prime time of my life. I sincerely see it as a privilege instead of a burden. God if You can use anyone, use me. I want to be a HERO, too!

If there's anything in the world that is more meaningful than discipling people, seeing life transformations, serving a God that truely loves you and cares for you, tell me! I would like to join the community you're in! If not, why not join me in leading a meaning life by serving the Lord of the universe who loves you and calls you by name.

Baking Mania

I got bitten by the baking bug recently and I realised that baking is seriously super fun.

It started when liting and jiaona came my house attempting to bake a banana chocolate chip muffin without bananas and extra chocolate powder. Apparently it failed and our miffins tasted like cookies. HAHAHA

After that I made a maple syrup cake/muffin using the recipe from here and the muffins/cakes tasted super nice! Gave some to my lovely caregroup members and they said the muffins tasted great! YAY!

So today I attempted the Chocolate Chip Banana Muffins again grabbing the recipe from here.
I tell you... they were heavenly....... I ate 2 at one go!

Bon Voyage, Grandma!

Just got back from the airport, sending my grandmother off to China. Hope she'll come back to visit us soon. Most importantly, I hope that she'll be happy and healthy back in China!:)

Anyway it's time for kangli's food recommandation time again! Before sending my grandma off, we went to this chinese restaurant at Terminal 3, in Crowne Plaza building and the Dimsum there was superb!

Let me introduce you the dimsum that you must try..

Their appetizer is super delicious.
It's beancurd with superb sweet and sour sauce. Mmmmmmm

Awwww egg tarts! The egg in the middle literally melts in your mouth.

THIS IS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE MEAL - THE CUSTARD BUN

The fillings of a normal custard bun is always very viscous and at times it may taste too sweet. But, this custard bun's filling is less viscous and the sweetness is just right for me. The filling oozes out in your mouth when you sink your teeth into the bun. MMMMmmmmmmm.

Oh got the deserts for free! This is the only good thing when your mother is a waitress who knows the boss there =X

4.5/5 stars for the food in this chinese restaurant. It's 0.5 stars from full marks as the speed of serving is a little slow even though the restaurant is quite empty at that hour.
